What does a Technical Audit include, and what does it cost?
A fixed-fee Technical Audit covers performance, security, SEO infrastructure, AI-readiness, and a prioritized fix list you can execute with us or anyone else. The fee is $795, fixed.
What's included in each management retainer tier?
Essential (from $97/mo) covers updates, security, backups, uptime, and minor edits. Growth (from $297/mo) adds performance monitoring (RUM), a monthly CWV report, and priority support. AI Operations (from $497/mo) adds Production-Safe AI Management: answer-quality monitoring, hallucination spot-checks, token budget reports, content re-indexing, and prompt/model updates as APIs evolve. What is a Strategy Hour?
One hour with a senior engineer beats a month of forum threads. Bring your stack questions, migration fears, or broken deploy. Leave with a documented action plan.
What happens to the audit fee if I hire you afterward?
The Technical Audit and Core Web Vitals Diagnostic fees credit toward the sprint or retainer that follows, once, with no cash value if unused. The Strategy Hour is priced as advice and is not credited toward later work.

How long does the Technical Audit take?
Five to ten business days from the point we have access to your site, longer for large e-commerce or multi-site builds. The real timeline is confirmed before you pay, not after, on the audit specification page.
What do I actually get at the end of the audit?
One written report ranked by business impact, plus a walkthrough call, built to be executed by your own developer, another agency, or us. Nothing in it requires hiring Breezy Sites to use it.
Am I obligated to hire you after the audit?
No. The audit is yours once delivered, and you are under no obligation to hire Breezy Sites to act on it.

Who actually works on my site?
Steve Soto or Xavier Emerson does the work personally. There is no junior bench your project quietly lands on and no contractor handoff; specialist contractors only join for extra capacity, under our own architecture and review.
How long have Steve and Xavier worked together?
Directly together since 2013, 13+ years and counting. Each person's own career history is stated on the About page, never summed into one combined figure.
Is Breezy Sites an agency, or something smaller?
Founder-led, not agency-shaped: Steve Soto (Founder / CTO) and Xavier Emerson (Director of Technology) do the work directly, with contractors brought in only for extra capacity, never to replace them.

Yes. The Technical Audit is written to be handed to your own developer or another agency just as easily as to us; the findings do not require hiring Breezy Sites to act on them.

How are AI assistants kept production-safe?
Every assistant we ship is grounded in your actual content, tested against wrong-answer scenarios, capped with a token budget, and monitored in production. No hallucinating chat toys. If an AI feature won't pay for itself, our audit will say so.
What kinds of AI assistants does Breezy Sites build?

What is an AEO or AI search audit?
A check of whether your content, schema, and infrastructure are actually readable by answer engines like ChatGPT and Perplexity, not just traditional search crawlers. Can AI chatbots like ChatGPT actually read and cite my site?

Ownership, security & trust
What does Breezy Sites not do?
We don't sell redesigns you don't need or platform loyalty you didn't ask for, and we won't pitch "AI ranking hacks," because they don't exist. When we build AI into your site, it ships with guardrails, monitoring, and a token budget, production-safe by default. If your current stack is right, we'll tell you.
Who owns the code and reports after the project ends?
Everything produced for you, reports, plans, and code, is yours once paid for, including the right to take audit findings to another provider. Our own internal tooling and boilerplate stay ours.
Can I cancel a management retainer anytime?
Yes. Retainers run month to month, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid month rather than mid-cycle.
Wouldn't a full-time in-house developer be cheaper?
For most small and mid-sized businesses, no, by a wide margin once salary, benefits, and management overhead are counted. A retainer gives you a senior team for a fraction of that cost.
Do you need access to my hosting or CMS accounts?
Yes, timely access to hosting, DNS, CMS, and analytics is what keeps a project on schedule; work pauses if access is blocked. What is needed is listed on an engagement checklist before work starts.
Do you guarantee search rankings or AI citations?
No, nobody controls third-party platforms, search engines, or AI systems, so nobody can honestly guarantee their behavior. What we guarantee is the documented process: the audit, the fix, the migration, done as specified.
