v0 & Bolt.new to Production: Launch Support

The sandbox ran everything for you. Production runs nothing for you. We bridge that gap: export, hosting, domain, database, and the errors that only appear after you leave the sandbox.

How Do You Take a v0 or Bolt.new App to Production?

v0 and Bolt.new projects break in production because, in our launch work, the preview environment provided what production does not: environment variables and a backend allow list that included the preview domain. The fix is systematic reconfiguration, which is Launch Essentials at $950 fixed, with Production Hardening at $2,950 when real users are coming.

Supabase fail to fetch: a common production error on Bolt apps

The browser is blocking the request before Supabase ever sees it, most often in our launch work because the production domain isn't in the allowed URLs or the environment variables point at the wrong project. The error message blames the network; the cause is configuration. The launch hub carries the exact three-step checklist.

v0 exports: component code is not an application

v0 generates excellent UI components and leaves you the application around them: routing, data fetching, auth, error states. Getting a v0 export production-ready is assembly work with judgment calls, which is why it is launch support rather than a tutorial.

What do Bolt and v0 document for going live?

Both builders publish for you, to different hosts. Linked facts come from vendor documentation, checked 10 October 2026; unlinked cells are our description.

Bolt.new

Where it publishes
A free bolt.host domain first, or Netlify as an alternative host (Bolt docs: custom domains, Bolt docs: Netlify integration).
Custom domain
Paid plans only, and downgrading to Free removes custom domain publishing (Bolt docs: custom domains).
Environment variables
Set on whichever host serves the app. A key present in the builder preview is not automatically present in production.
Backend
Netlify cannot host a database or a traditional backend, so a hosted backend such as Supabase carries it (Bolt docs: Netlify integration).
Sign-in redirects
Supabase redirects only to URLs on its allow list (Supabase docs: redirect URLs).

v0

Where it publishes
A Vercel project: working branches get preview deployments, and publishing updates production (v0 docs: deployments).
Custom domain
Managed in Project Settings, with advanced DNS in the Vercel dashboard (v0 docs: deployments).
Environment variables
Configurable for Production, Preview, and Development through Vercel (v0 docs: deployments).
Backend
In our launch work the export is a frontend application, with data and auth wired separately, often through Supabase.
Sign-in redirects
The same allow list applies, and the production domain must be on it (Supabase docs: redirect URLs).

Token burn and the sandbox ceiling

Builders price by tokens or credits, and v0's docs say that after the daily free uses on unedited code, fixes cost credits like a normal prompt (v0 docs: deployments). Iterating on deployment problems inside the builder can spend credits on non-feature work. The economical move is doing deployment outside the sandbox once, properly, then keeping the builder for what it is good at: generating features. Post-launch, the retainer takes over on the Website Management page.

The launch checklist

The same checklist we run against every v0 or Bolt.new app before it goes live:

text

DNS: domain resolves to the production host
Supabase Site URL: production domain added
Supabase Redirect URLs: production domain added
Environment variables: every preview key set on production
SSL: certificate issued and verified from multiple resolvers

Ongoing Maintenance for the Deployed App

Predictable monthly retainers that keep your website updated, secure, backed up, and monitored, on any platform, including custom PHP/CodeIgniter applications.

v0 and Bolt.new launch questions

Why does my Bolt app throw fail to fetch only in production?

Your production domain is not allowed by the backend configuration, or the environment variables differ from the sandbox. The browser blocks the call; the console blames fetch. Configuration, not code.

Do I need a paid Bolt plan for a custom domain?

Yes. Bolt's docs say custom domains are only available on paid plans, and that downgrading to Free removes custom domain publishing.

Where does a v0 project deploy?

To Vercel. v0's docs say preview deployments come from working branches and publishing updates the Vercel project's production deployment, with domains and environment variables managed through Vercel's settings.

Can you deploy a v0 project that's just components?

Yes, that is a common v0 case in our launch work. We scaffold the application shell around the components, wire data and auth, and deploy the result. Scope is small and fixed for typical projects.

Do I need Production Hardening or just Essentials?

Essentials gets it live and verified. If customers, payments, or personal data touch the app, Hardening's security pass and auth debugging aren't optional in good conscience, and we'll tell you which one you are.

Will my app scale after launch?

Sandbox-tier databases and hosting have ceilings. When you approach them, scaling work (real database, AWS hosting, CI/CD) is quoted by traffic and data model, and the launch documents where your ceilings are.

What's the price?

$950 fixed for Launch Essentials, $2,950 for Production Hardening, published on our pricing page and described on the AI app launch support page. The urgency of "it won't deploy" is exactly why the price isn't a negotiation.
